Nick is proof that an executive does not have to give up his craft. To be honest, he’s too good for us to let him stop coding. In fact, he’s been recognized by Mass High Tech as one of the area’s top programmers.
Additionally, he and his colleague Mark Graber were recognized as two of the 20 Sitecore Most Valuable Professionals for 2010 in the Sitecore developer community - a network of over 10,000 active community members. As a co-founder and principal of Oasis, Nick provides extensive technology management and over 12 years of development experience. Nick has first hand experience architecting and developing world-class web applications using a variety of technologies. Nick’s roots are in web development with particular expertise with .Net, Cold Fusion, ASP, JSP, MS SQL and Oracle. Nick believes in a strong bond between creative and technology and holds it as a prime directive for his team.
Prior to joining Oasis Technology Partners, Laidlaw was a co-founder of PlanitLink.com, a web-based collaboration platform employing intelligent calendaring and planning software. Nick served as that company’s CTO, and was ultimately responsible for all technology development and deployment considerations. He also played a major role in presenting Planitlink.com’s technology to investors and clients, resulting in successful fund raising and solidifying relationships with numerous national organizations.
Prior to PlanitLink, Nick spent three years at Vacation.com where he was the Head of Web Development. Vacation.com is a nationwide network of over 8,500 travel agencies featuring more than 24,000 agents dedicated to providing consumers with the finest in vacation packages, cruises, tours and all types of leisure travel services. Nick assisted in developing the company’s core products while managing and building the engineering team.
Nick has his BS in Computer Engineering from Hamilton College.
