CMS Integration
Utilizing their legacy CMS, Ballard Spahr LLP (Ballard) encountered several challenges including the ability to efficiently update site content. Before re-launching www.ballardspahr.com, Ballard, an Am Law 100 firm, required a more robust and scalable back-end infrastructure. The Oasis team was tasked with leveraging the Sitecore CMS system to develop a scalable platform that would enable content editors to administer all of the routine management tasks of the website.
Throughout the initial discovery process, Oasis developed a firm understanding of Ballard’s technical landscape along with the overall goals of their global site. Using this analysis, Oasis developed a comprehensive sitemap and wireframes. This documentation identified essential content for each section and page functionality requirements. Oasis detailed the final site structure and system requirements in the functional specification document.
Oasis worked closely with Ballard throughout development to provide valuable insight and recommendations aligned with industry best practices. This resulted in a successful site launch in September 2009. Additionally, Oasis extended its relationship with Ballard to collaborate on several site enhancements.
