Fathom Communications (Fathom) partnered with Oasis to assist them with the front-end and back-end website development for America’s Greenest School and Canada’s Greenest School contests sponsored by IC Bus. The team was tasked with creating sites that would handle contestant registration and entry uploads for multiple media types, including essays, video, photography and audio clips. These sites would also track public voting within a viewing gallery utilizing YouTube and Flickr integrations. To handle review and reporting for these contest entries, Oasis was charged with providing a password protected administrative dashboard.
Additionally, the Canadian version of the site necessitated the integration of both English and French to meet the localization needs of users. In the end, Oasis was tasked with delivering a solution that addressed all of IC Bus’ needs from a technical perspective while working closely with Fathom to bring their creative vision to life.
This project culminated in two successful site launches. Oasis launched America’s Greenest School in January 2010 and Canada’s Greenest School in February 2010. Oasis worked closely with Fathom to provide technical insight and recommendations. Additionally, the Oasis development team was instrumental in providing technical recommendations that helped enhance the overall user experience.
