Winston Flowers

Winston Flowers (Winston) partnered with Oasis to assist them with the information architecture and redesign for www.winstonflowers.com. Since 1944, Winston has been a landmark institution within the Greater Boston area, synonymous with world class floral design and commitment to quality. Over the years, Winston has widened its capabilities and services including Weddings & Events, Garden Design and Residential & Corporate Services. The goal of this redesign was to showcase Winston’s new brand positioning while telling the story of Winston’s history throughout the site.

To achieve this goal, Oasis started the creative discovery process by conducting interviews with key stakeholders within the primary business units as well as long-time Winston employees. Based on these valuable insights as well as our own research, Oasis developed sitemaps and wireframes that reorganized the site to highlight each of Winston’s key business units.

Once the information architecture phase was completed, Oasis worked with Winston to produce site designs that adhered to their established brand guidelines and conveyed Winston’s brand message of freshness, quality and artistry. Another creative goal was to provide users with a visual experience that evoked the same emotion that is felt when walking into a physical Winston Flowers location. By highlighting beautifully crafted arrangements and one-of-a-kind installations, Oasis was able to bring the Winston Flowers experience online.

The Winston Flowers site successfully launched in November 2009 and has helped elevate their online presence to ensure a consistent brand experience across all mediums. In addition, the site has increased overall awareness of the full-line of services available at Winston Flowers.
