Agency Oasis Senior Developer and Sitecore MVP Mark Ursino collaborates with Sitecore CMS CTO John West

May 16, 2011

Agency Oasis Senior Developer and Sitecore MVP Mark Ursino collaborates with Sitecore CMS CTO John West on blog & Sitecore Developer Network (SDN) forum to further the conversation on caching, and expiration of caching criteria.

In what started as a question to the Sitecore Developer Network forum, opening the floor to Sitecore Caching for SSL + non-SSL sublayout, the discussion spurred CTO John West to post to his blog about Custom Caching Criteria with the Sitecore ASP.NET CMS. Sitecore users went back and forth testing some approaches and John offered Mark’s work on Stackoverflow as a simple alternative. The Stackoverflow question specifically directed at answering fixes for issues with Sitecore HTML cache and external data sources. Other commenters related the question and answer back to a separate post to John West’ blog addressing Sitecore Cache Expiration Setting where things came full circle again and Mark was able to take John’s comments on Schedule Expiration for Output Cache Entries with the Sitecore ASP.NET CMS and implement it in Twitter-based sublayout now present on Sanford Health’s Newsroom in the right rail pulling in related health information and news.
